5. Pocket Parks – Councillor Brian Jones has forwarded an application submitted on behalf of
Sadberge Parish Council to refurbish the Children’s Play area at the rear of Abbey Road. This application would require a contribution of £7,000 from the Parish Council to secure funding of £25,000 for the proposed works. Despite some concerns raised by Dean Scott of
Darlington Borough Council regarding “ponding issues” on that site, which have not been resolved.
6. Residents complaint regards inappropriate parking within the village, parking over dropped kerbs and alleged harassment when parking on roadside
7. Planning update Hill House Lane planning application Ref. 19/00434/FUL
8. A proposal to fund a memorial seat in the memory of Bob Hall has been made, to be installed in the small garden opposite the Buck Inn
9. Agree to fund the repair of the Union Flag’s anti-fray strip at a cost of approximately £25

Another road accident on the crossroads in the centre of the village has prompted several comments on the local platform. Questioning why nothing is done about this issue, with Darlington Borough Council being contacted for comment.
