SURVEY RESPONSE
SADBERGE VILLAGE WISH LIST

Following the Parish Council’s September meeting, residents of the village were asked for their suggestions as to what they wished most in the way of community projects that could be possibly funded by the Banks Moor House Wind Farm Community Fund.

The Parish Council received a number of initiatives and at the November meeting suggestions were discussed.
It must be noted at this point that Banks, will not fund projects it deems are the responsibility of local councils or unitary bodies.
This includes a number of issues relating to traffic and road safety issues. The Parish Council over the last few years have approached Darlington BC about these issues, with no avail, and at the November Meeting agreed once more to set up a meeting with Council officials to discuss these concerns and bring about some sort of resolution. The Parish Council will pass any information via the Parish Council website and its monthly meetings.

Items relating to the Village Hall will forwarded to the Village Hall CIO committee for their discussion. It can be pointed out, though, regarding the request for a village shop in the hall, certain grocery items can be ordered for collection at the coffee shop. Pop in and talk to the staff there.

As for “Green Initiatives” – Sadberge Climate Change & Biodiversity Group have a number of projects in hand. To be involved follow the Parish Council website and future meetings of the group.

Outside events such as the Summer Fair and Bonfire night will hopefully be organised by the relevant groups when they are viable and safe to be held.

Other suggestions – Buses, Play Area/Park, Broadband, Defibrillator, Speed camera and many others are already being, or have been, discussed and are agenda items for future Parish Council meetings. These meetings are public meetings and are invariably the first Tuesday in the month. Look out for details on Notice Boards and the Parish Council website, follow us on (or subscribe to) www.sadbergeparishcouncil.gov.uk

Thank you for your suggestions – the Parish Council are encouraged by the number of initiatives put forward; it demonstrates that there is a high regard in the village for its welfare. Your continued support is vital to the Parish Council and the village.
